Being a novice UI/UX Designer, one of the most significant tasks I've been involved in recently is redesigning the homepage of a sustainable clothing company's website. It has been quite a learning experience for me. The process was challenging yet rewarding, and it offered valuable insights into the world of sustainable fashion and user experience design.
The first step in redesigning the homepage involved gaining a comprehensive understanding of the brand and its target audience. As a sustainable clothing company, the audiences are naturally environmentally conscious, young, and savvy when it comes to the latest fashion trends. To ensure that the website's design resonates with the audience, I spent time studying environmental conscious customers' behaviour, preferences, and demographics.
After gaining a deeper understanding of the brand and audience, the next step was to create wireframes and prototypes. This process involved sketching out ideas for the homepage's layout, including the placement of images, text, and interactive elements. I used digital tool like Figma to transform these sketches into interactive prototypes, which were then tested and revised based on feedback from user testing group. The key was to keep the design simple, user-friendly, and in alignment with our brand's sustainable ethos.
In the final stage of the redesign process, I worked on implementing visual design elements into the homepage. This involved choosing appropriate colours, fonts, graphics, and images that would enhance brand's image and appeal to the audience. This stage was critical in making the homepage visually appealing and engaging for our users.
Below I have attached my case study. Would appreciate if you go through it and give me your honest review. Thanks in advance 🙂
